There’s been a lot of Metroid in the gaming world lately. Games that are inspired by and a resurfacing of the classics. We all know how JayFresh was introduced to the Super Nintendo versions last week and now, it seems, the Super Nintendo has sunk its claws into him and won’t let go. BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM REVIEW In a near-perfect representation of the Batman universe, Arkham Asylum offers up far more game than anyone thought possible. Ryan, Matt, and JayFresh have, admittedly, a bit of a love-fest over what’s really the best Batman game to date. GANGSTAR: WEST COAST HUSTLE REVIEW The iPhone may very well be more powerful than developers realize. This game proves that not only can you bring a near-GTA experience to the iPhone, but that it can be done with controls that are fairly intuitive and with gameplay straight out of the early PS2-era. It was a surprise to both Jason and Cesar that such a game even existed, but, as they mention, it’s not without its flaws. METROID PRIME TRILOGY REVIEW Perhaps it would have been more awesome to have a new Metroid Prime, but re-releasing the entire trilogy, complete with improved, Wii controls a la Corruption is nothing to sneeze at. Ryan and special guest Torrey Holbrook Walker (you may recognize that name from our music credits) step out into the depth of night in order to discuss the finer points of what makes this series so particularly special.

some people play games for the gameplay not graphics you faggot! i bet you r a 360 fanboy
that metroid game was for the wii? the graphics are fucking horrible
the black dude talking about Metroid is flaming
Excellent discussion about Metroid Prime Trilogy. It’s surely THE Wii game to own (compilation). It’s crazy when we see that Retro Studios created an impressive and big world. All the flashing and turning objets in background, the enemies, bosses. Retro sure made three of the best games ever in video games story. On Trilogy, they just used to improve it. Skytown is for sure the best place to explore and I remember my first steps on Elysia. Just speechless of this beautiful Chozo planet!
retro studios is a division from nintendo.
Amazing points you guys made on the Batman game; you guys noticed a lot like the backtracking being amazing because of the changes to environment with the vines.
Loved the Prime Trilogy discussion. I got goosebumps
That would have been pretty interesting if they kept their stake in the Microsoft controlled company.
Bigsmilesreviews watches your show? cool
Yeah, but Nintendo still owned almost half of the company. So its not like they had to sell it, if they didn’t want to. They had a choice, but I’m sure the $375 million was well worth it to them though. None the less, I really doubt that Nintendo would ever sell another studio to Microsoft. They certainly don’t need their money right now!
Nintendo never actually owned Rareware. They sold their 49% stake after Microsoft already got majority control.
its appreciated when you actually write stuff in the description, thank you!
Yeah, I know that Nintendo sold Rare to Microsoft, but that was my point in saying. That I can’t see Nintendo ever selling another company to Microsoft anytime soon either. It could happen, but let’s face it, its not going too happen, because Nintendo doesn’t need to sell any studio right now. They’re rolling in cash at the moment. So Retro won’t be making any 360, or PS3 games anytime soon, because Nintendo owns them lock, stock, and barrel!
Umm… Ever heard of Rareware?
I’d love to know how Ryan thinks that Retro Studio would ever work on the 360? Seeing as how Nintendo owns Retro, I highly doubt that would ever happen. Nintendo’s not going to let their developers work on someone else’s console.
So the only way Retro will ever make a HD game is on Nintendo’s next console. Unless Nintendo sells Retro to Microsoft, but I can’t see that happening anytime soon either!
lol retro gaming rocks. nice video.
lol they have a episode like every week
oh wow, cool. I didn’t know Moby did this.
Oh yeah, this reminds me I need to find a friend that likes to play video games

Well I know that. I was just pointing it out.
